Aptma lauds cut in POL prices

Karachi  : All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) Chairman Muhammad Yasin Siddik has appreciated the government’s decision to reduce petroleum products prices saying it would give some relief to the businesses and common man. In a statement issued to the press, Yasin siddik said that we were expecting at least 5 percent reduction in the prices of petroleum products after the revaluation of Pak Rupee. He appreciated the government for improving the economic situation due to which Rupee has appreciated around 10 percent in last couple of months enabling the government reduce petroleum prices and to give relief to business community and the common people.
Chairman APTMA further said that the cost of doing business in Pakistan has increased to an alarming level making country’s products uncompetitive in the international market. He said we expect the government has to take some very important decisions to give a boost to the industrial sector. He said that EU has given GSP Plus status to Pakistan allowing its hundreds of items duty free access in the 27 countries. It is good chances for Pakistan to increase its exports and get maximum benefits, he added.
