ATTOCK - Deputy Commissioner Attock Ali Anan Qamar has emphasised upon the education officers to achieve the targets set by the government specially enrolment of new students. He said this while presiding over a meeting of education officers. CEO Education Mohsin Abbas and other officers were present on the occasion. The DC said that those who achieve the targets will be rewarded while those with lethargic attitude will be dealt as per the rules. He emphasised upon them to ensure implementation of Covid-19 SOPs in all public and private schools and in education offices and not to take lenient view in this context. He expressed his annoyance over the low ranking of the district in Punjab and issued directions to make efforts to be among the toppers. CEO Education Mohsin Abbas apprised the DC that 50 per cent target of enrolment has been achieved while remaining target will be achieved with in the stipulated period. The CEO also assured the Deputy Commissioner that all efforts would be made and maximum resources would be utilised to bring improvement in education sector of the district. Meanwhile, DC Attock Ali Anan Qamar paid surprise visit to different markets of the city and imposed Rs90,000 fine and arrested more than 25 shopkeepers for violating Covid-19 SOPs. DC Attock also distributed masks among the shopkeepers and other people and emphasised upon them to follow Covid-19 SOPs for the benefit of their own and other people.
On the other hand, Assistant Commissioner Attock Zaib un Nisa held an open court in Land Record Centre. She listened to the revenue related problems of the people and issued orders for their timely solution.
