Pakistan football will return to track soon: FIFA, AFC

LAHORE - The presidents of FIFA and AFC have assured the PFF Nomarlization Committee of their all-out cooperation, saying Pakistan football will return to the track soon.
According to NC member Shahid Niaz Khokhar, FIFA President Gianni Infantino met with Normalization Committee Chairman Haroon Malik and its members on the sidelines of the 72nd FIFA Congress and assured the NC of their all-out support for the revival of football in Pakistan. “We are hopeful that the PFF Normalization Committee under the leadership of Haroon Malik has been doing the best to resolve the long-standing issues of Pakistan football, which will be on right track soon,” said the FIFA head.
Meanwhile, the Pakistani delegation also met with AFC President Sheikh Salman bin Abdul Khalifa, who also assured them of playing his role in revival of football in the country and fully supporting the PFF NC in all the matters as far as betterment and development of Pakistan football and footballers are concerned. The Pakistani delegation also attended a function hosted by Qatar Football Association President Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa, where various possibilities were discussed for the development of football ties between the two countries.
The Pakistani delegation, which attended the 72nd FIFA Congress, included NC Chairman Haroon Malik and members Shahid Niaz Khokhar and Haris Azmat. In his message, Haroon Malik said that the support of FIFA and AFC in the crisis situation kept the Normalization Committee’s hopes alive and under their patronage, the NC is committed to revive football in Pakistan.
