Exclusion of TV licence fee from bills demanded

OUR SATFF REPORTER NANKANA SAHIB - People from all walks of life demanded elimination of TV licence fee collection from even those who do not have TV at their homes or shops. The government unjustified and illegally collecting billions of rupees in the shape of PTV fee ranging from Rs.35 to Rs.60 through electricity bills from millions of consumers those dont have TV set at homes & shops. Different traders, lawyers, social, religious, political and peoples representatives condemned fee charging by the federal government. According to the survey conducted by TheNation in Nankana city, a few residential and commercial consumers those dont have TV set either at their house or shop tried to get exclude this PTV fee from their electricity bills but they were not entertained, saying the local office is not able to exclude this fee as the same could be done from their Islamabad office or some other regional office, applicants informed.
