ISLAMABAD - Islamabad routed Rawalpindi by 4 wickets in the Inter Region U-19 One-Day Tournament 2018-19 round one group-A match here at Pindi Stadium Wednesday.
Rawalpindi scored 208-6 wickets in 38 overs. Haider Ali was top scorer with 72 while Zaid Kahn made 46. M Musa captured 2-40. Islamabad reached home in 37.4 overs losing 6 wickets. Hasan Abid Kiyani slammed 60 and Rohail Nazir 55. Sheraz and Mubahsir got one wicket each.
At KRL Stadium, Karachi Region Whites beat Fata by 31 runs. Batting first, Karachi made 256-8 in the allotted overs. Saim Ayub hammered 100 and Watan Dost 58. M Waseem took 2-45 and Hasnain Hussain 2-61. In reply, Fata Region could score 225-9 in 38 overs. Junaid Ahmed hit 63 and M Aftab Alam 55. Shoaib Ahmed clinched 3-42 and M Makki 2-47. At National Ground, Quetta hammered Lahore Whites by 80 runs. Batting first, Quetta were bowled out for 177 in 45.3 overs with Junaid Khan scoring 63. Hashim Ibraheem grabbed 4-33 and Syed Faridoun Mahmood 3-23. In reply, Lahore were bundled out for 97 in 25.5 overs. Hassan Dar made 18. Junaid Khan rattled Lahore batting by grabbing 5-30, while Hussain Ahmed bagged 4-30.
At Diamond Ground, Faisalabad Region thrashed AJK Region by massive 151 runs. Faisalabad posted 276-9 on the board in 45 overs. AJK, in reply, were bowled out for 125 in 34.2 overs.
