LAHORE - Settlement of sales tax and custom refund, simplification of tax procedures and cut in tax rates are long-standing demands of the business community which has not been fulfilled so far.
This was stated by Mian Anjum Nisar, senior vice presidential candidate from Pakistan Business Group & Businessmen Panel (Alliance), while addressing a gathering of Lahore and Punjab based executive committee and general body members of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI).
Businessmen Panel and Pakistan Business Group senior leaders and Traders & Industrialists all over Pakistan led by Sultan Ahmed Chawla, Ex-senator Haji Ghulam Ali, Vice Prisedent BMP Mian Zahid Hussain, Ex Vice President & EC Member FPCCI Haji Fazal Ilahi, Ex Presidents LCCI Muhammad Ali Mian and Sohail Lashari, SVP-LCCI Tahir Javed Malik and Mian Noman Kabir, renowned market leaders Bau Bashir, Khamis Saeed Butt, Sheikh Muhammad Ayub, Lahore Industrial Association Chairman Ch Zaheer Bhutta were also present. Number of associations and chambers presidents voters and representatives included women chamber, ghee/cooking oil association, sugar, ethanol manufacturers, cement, rice, plastic, soap, paper, PVC/MS pipe, steel, readymade garments, FRIA, LTIA, Cargo, poultry, pharmaceuticals, and footwear.
