MULTAN - Chief of Darul Uloom Karor Pacca, Sheikhul Hadith Maulana Abdul Majeed Ludhianvi died of a heart attack here on Sunday.
Maulana Abdul Majeed suffered a heart attack during meeting of Wafaqul Madris and was rushed to hospital in unconscious condition but he could not survive.
The Maulana was highly respected in religious circles. Participants of Wafaqul Madris meeting have expressed their deep grief of the death of the religious scholar and the function was closed as soon as the news of his death reached them.  Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, JUI Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and other religious and political leaders have conveyed their condolence on his death.
