The dead body of a PTCL employee has been recovered from the avalanche in Lowari top while search for the two other persons is still underway.

According to reports, three employees of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority Limited (PTCL) went missing after the powerful earthquake last Wednesday. The missing employees were identified as Noor-ud-Din and Abdullah, Residents of Chitral.

The recovered person was identified as Rafiq and his exact locality is yet to be ascertained. The trained squad of Rescue 1122 Mardan have been deputed who were engaged in the search operation. The rescue staff is well-equipped with the latest devices and equipment and would soon recover the remaining two bodies from the area. 

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority had issued alert to the district administration in Dir and Chitral to remain alert of any avalanche as a result of the powerful earthquake.
