Thousands of kanals of govt land retrieved in Mardan 

Mardan   -  On the directives of Peshawar High Court, the district administration has retrieved thousands of kanal land, a senior officer said.  

Talking to The Nation, Deputy Commissioner Habibullah Arif said the process of relinquishing the government lands from encroachments/occupiers is underway in the district.  

The DC said that on the directives of Peshawar High Court the district administration in his supervision retreaved about 3,023 kanals 19 marlas of government lands of Auqaf Department at Mauza Mahal Kalo Tehsil Takhtbhai and handed over to the Auqaf Department. 

He asked the people to refrain from encroachment on government lands and voluntarily vacate the government land, otherwise strict action will be taken against those who occupied the state land.  

Habibullah Arif said that officials of the district administration also inspected different premises at Shaheen Plaza and Hira Market Malakand Road and recovered de-registered disposable syringes and needles which have been banned by the government.  

He said that samples of all suspected spurious drugs have been sent to the Drug Testing Laboratory (DTL) for the test/analysis and action will be initiated under the Drugs Act, 1976. He warned that the culprits will be dealt with iron hand.
