3 arrested for liquor smuggling

Muzaffargarh   -  Sarwar Shaheed Police Station in a major operation against liquor smugglers recovered 1280 bottles of liquor worth crores of rupees smuggled from Balochistan to Punjab.

Three accused were arrested in this regard DPO Hassan Iqbal Mian announced cash prizes and certificates of appreciation for the police team.

According to details, Sarwar Shaheed Police Station, led by SHO Khurram Riaz Khar, came to  know about international liquor smugglers who were transporting a large consignment of liquor from Balochistan to Punjab.

The liquor smugglers had hidden the liquor in the truck of fruit. After setting up a roadblock, the police searched the truck and found liquor worth crores of rupees.  SDPO Kot Addu Allahyar Saifi while addressing a press conference along with SHO Khurram Riaz Khar said that huge quantity of liquor was seized.

Deputy Commisioner Eng.Amjad Shoaib Tareen briefed in a meeting regarding approval for Annual Development Plan ( ADP) for financial year 2021 - 2022 .

He said that old building of Elementary College will be utilized for educational purposes after renovation alongwith construction of new block. Additional Deputy Commissioner General Imran Shamas, Additional Deputy Commisioner Finance& Planning Jam Aftab were present at the occasion. 

The Deputy Commissioner Eng.Amjad Shoaib Tareen appreciated the services of senior member board of Revenue who is working hard for Revenue development and same should continue with same spirit to make it reality. 

He said that 30 Revenue centers are working in the District and it has lessened the burden of work.
