Supreme Court suspends LHC proceedings against SP Lahore

The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC), on Friday, has suspended the legal proceedings issued by Lahore High Court (LHC) to the Superintendent of Lahore Police (SP) Sadar Hafizur Rehman Bugti.

According to the details, a division bench of SC comprising Justice Sajjad Ali Shah and Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah heard the filed petition.

The government of Punjab and others have been declared respondents in the petition.

Moreover, raising the concerns about misleading the court with a display of wrong facts, SP Sadar took the plea before LHC.

“I have not given any wrong statement before the LHC. Still, LHC issued a show-cause notice to me," said Bugti.

Earlier, Bugti had filed the plea to the Supreme Court of suspending the show cause notice issued by LHC.
