962 criminals arrested in Kasur district in February: DPO

KASUR - During the month of February, 962 criminals including 37 members of 14 dangerous robbery gangs involved in more than 83 serious incidents including robbery and murder were arrested. According to details, on the special instructions of DPO Kasur Muhammad Sohaib Ashraf, the police took emergency measures to ensure safety of life and property of the citizens.  According to police, the operation was carried out on rickshaws and private motorbikes.   As a result of continuous hard work, police arrested 37 members of 14 gangs, including an inter-district dangerous dacoit gang, during the month of February, from whose possession stolen property worth Rs. 28 lakh and various types of modern illegal weapons were recovered.   Similarly, during a special operation against illegal arms holders, 163 accused were arrested and cases were registered against them by recovering 02 Kalashnikovs, 10 rifles, 13 guns, 139 pistols and 12 magazines from the possession of the accused.

During the month of February, 67 suspects were arrested.  The cases were registered after recovering Rs. 130,000 at stake.  Within a month, such large-scale arrests led to a significant reduction in serious crimes.

DPO Kasur said that Kasur police is working day and night for the protection of life and property of every young citizen.

Special teams are working for the arrest of the accused who will also be arrested soon.
