Quetta - Life remained paralysed in various towns of Balochistan on Friday due to the shutter-down and wheel- jam strike called by the Baloch Republican Party.
The BRP had given strike call to condemn the killing of , BRP leader Naseer Baloch’s son Waqar Naseer Baloch who was shot dead a couple days back in Khuzdar after being dismounted from a passenger bus.
The shutter down and a partial wheel-jam strike was observed in Turbat, Mand, Panjgour, Gwadar, Nushki, Sourab, Kalat, Mastung, Mangochar, Kharan and other towns. During the strike, business activities and shopping markets remained closed in the mentioned towns and flow of vehicular traffic was also very low owing to the wheel-jam strike. Local administrations had taken tight security measures to avert any untoward incident.
The BRP in a statement alleged that human rights violations of Baloch people are being committed in the province. It appealed all international human rights organisations for taking notice of the issue and playing a role brining an end to human rights violations.
