Zardari flays increase in petroleum prices

ISLAMABAD - Former president Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday strongly condemned the increase in petroleum prices by the government. He demanded of the government to immediately lower the prices to provide relief to the common man already burdened by the increase in prices of items of daily use.

In a statement, he said the increase would further make life difficult for the common man.

“Recently prices of onions, tomatoes and other vegetable have been increased and this act of the government will make life hard for the common man as the prices of every item of daily use will further increase with the increase of petroleum prices,” Zardari said.

The former president demanded of the government to immediately reverse its decision.
