LAHORE - A two-member delegation of Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has met with Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) Ehsan-ur-Rehman Mazari at his office. The PHF delegation included its General Secretary Syed Haider Hussain and Olympian Nasir Ali. During the meeting, the IPC Minister said that he wanted to eliminate corrupt elements from the hockey federation and expressed his wish to see Pakistan hockey regain its lost glory. “Haider Hussain’s work for the promotion of hockey at the grassroots level is commendable and his plans are impressive. The PHF will have full support from the IPC Ministry in its efforts to revive the national game and bring the green shirt back to its peak.” On this occasion, the PHF Secretary informed the IPC Minister about his plan and roadmap that he will involve public and private institutions to contribute to the improvement of the game. He requested the Minister to depute PSB national coach Rana Nasrullah for national hockey camp so that he may join the ongoing training camp for Sultan Azlan Shah Hockey Cup in Karachi.
