Lahore Garrison team reflects mastery in Inter Club Golf C’ship

LAHORE-The three-day Pakistan Golf Federation (PGF) National Inter Club Golf Championship 2022 moves into the final phase at the Islamabad Golf Club Golf Course.
As the team positions stand after the end of two rounds with final round to go on Sunday, the Lahore Garrison Team stands at a gross team score of 1,628, while the next best team is Karachi Golf Club at a team score of 1,705 having outstripped Islamabad Golf Team, which is now placed at a score of 1,735 while Peshawar Golf Club is at 1,799. In competitive terms, this means that Garrison Team enjoys a superiority of 77 strokes over Karachi Golf Club Team.
Lahore Garrison Greens’ amateurs Damil Ataullah, Nouman Ilyas and Ahmed Sultan Kayani played admirably well and matched game playing skills with the best amateurs from Karachi. On the second day, Karachi Golf Club amateurs Saim Shazli, Syed Yashal Shah and Omer Khalid flaunted their phenomenal skills, yet felt outgolfed.
The senior amateurs of Lahore Garrison, Tariq Mehmood, Raja Asif Mehdi and Muhammed Shafi were equally vibrant and lent spirited support to their team mates, as did the ladies Suneya Osama and Ghazala Yasmin and the girls Bushra Fatima and Hadiya Osama.
For Karachi Golf Club, three amateurs played champion like and these are Omer Khalid, Saim Shazli and Yashal Shah. The back up from other category teammates was disenchanting. For Islamabad, Taimoor Hassan Amin was again a lustrous one and completely outshined his team mates.
At the conclusion of the event, Ehsan ur Rehman Mazari, Federal Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination, along with Lt Gen (R) Mian Muhammad Hilal Hussain, President Pakistan Golf Federation, will award prizes to the winners at 4pm at Islamabad Golf Club.
