Federal Minister for Information Technology (IT), Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has that software like Blue Whale and have been banned in the country.

Talking to a delegation of IT and software developer experts in Karachi on Sunday, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that the games which promote the trend of suicide in youth have been banned.

There was no space for software like Blue Whale and Momo in Pakistan which convince youth to commit suicide to get rid of its miseries, he clarified.

The Minister IT said that legislation in this connection will be done in this connection as per which creation and promotion of such programmes would be declared cyber crime and strict punishment would be awarded to the elements involved in illegal practice.
