All set for Attock, Sanjwal cantonment elections on Sep 12

ATTOCK - Six candidates are on the run for three general member seats of Attock Cantonment and Sanjwal Cantonment for which all arrangements have been finalised. For these general seats, election will be held on 12th September. As per the District Election Office sources, for general seats of Attock Cantt Ward I and Ward II, four candidates which include Shah Nawaz Malik, Syed Mehdi Naqvi, Shakeel Ahmed Khan and Shehzad Ahmad are on the run. Similarly, for single seat of Sanjwal Cantt, Muhammad Altaf Rafiq and Muhammad Zia ud Din contesting. In Attock Cantt, the number of registered voters is 11,936 which include 5,448 male and 6,448 female voters. Similarly, in Sanjwal Cantt the number of registered voters is 1,670, which include 872 male and 793 female voters. No female candidate has filed nomination papers. For these elections, seven polling stations have been set up in Attock which include three male, three female and one combine polling station. In Sanjwal Cantt, two polling stations have been set up for male and female voters. To conduct these elections smoothly under the supervision of District Returning Officer, two returning officers, four assistant returning officers, 15 presiding officers, 15 senior presiding officers, 29 assistant presiding officers and 44 poling officers will perform their duties on the day of election. In Kamra Cantt, one female candidate has been elected unopposed from ward 4 while election for  other four wards has been cancelled as all the candidates who had filed their nomination papers for four seats of Kamra Cantt have withdrawn their nomination papers because of some differences with the authorities of Kamra Cantt.
