Reko Diq and provincial minister’s overreaction

I was surprised to read about the resignation of one of the provincial minister's of Balochistan in protest against the recruitment for the Reko Diq refinery being set up by the evergreen nuclear scientist Dr Samar Mubarikmand. Reko Diq Mining and Refinery are both commercial projects and should be handled without mystery. The Mining Project is under litigation while the Refinery is facing serious protest. If the Government's of Balochistan and Pakistan desire to exploit the Reko Diq Copper/Gold reserves, commercial corporations should be set up similar to SSGC or SNGPL to be headed by professionals under the government rules of hiring and financial audits. The national needs of the country can be met by refining the copper mined at Reko Diq for which professional/commercial management and approach is essentially required.
