Japan grants Rs6.2b for water treatment plant, distribution system in Faisalabad

LAHORE   -  Japan will provide 6.20 billion rupees for the improvement of the water treatment plant and water distribution system in Faisalabad. The ambassador of Japan Matsuda Kuninori has informed Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar about it through a letter. 

The CM Usman Buzdar has thanked the Japanese government and the ambassador through a letter adding that the Punjab government appreciates Japanese collaboration for improving the quality of life of the people. Improvement in the supply and drainage of the water system in Faisalabad is imperative, he added. Pakistan and Japan have the best relations and these relations are being developed with every passing day, he continued. 

Meanwhile, the Japanese ambassador stated improvement in supply and drainage of water is important for maintaining the quality of life and added that Japanese assistance will help improve the quality of life of the people in Punjab. Similarly, cooperation will be continued to further strengthen the bilateral relations between Japan and Punjab, he added.  

CM CONDOLES DEATH OF RENOWNED SINGER SHAUKAT ALI

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has expressed a deep sense of sorrow and grief over the sad demise of renowned folk singer Shaukat Ali. The chief minister extended heartfelt sympathies and prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage and strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with equanimity. Usman Buzdar said that Shaukat Ali earned a unique place among singers of his era and the singing style of Shaukat Ali will long be remembered. He promoted patriotism and Punjabi culture through his songs and his death has closed a golden chapter of singing.  

CM SEEKS REPORT FROM RPO DG KHAN

Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has sought a report from RPO DG Khan about firing in the premises of the court of additional sessions judge Rajanpur and directed to ensure foolproof security of courts. 

Meanwhile, the police have arrested the accused Arif and legal action has been started.
