Flyover inaugurated in Faisalabad

| Flyover was a long standing demand of local traders, citizens

MULTAN    -    Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Affair and Chief Whip National Assembly Malik Aamir Dogar Saturday inaugurated Imran Khan flyover at Nadrabad railways crossing, here.


The flyover was constructed with cost of Rs 3.7 billion and it would surely help maintaining smooth flow of traffic, said Aamir Dogar. He maintained that Imran Khan flyover was a long standing demand of the local traders and other citizens. Aamir Dogar also remarked that Opposition was creating hurdles in way of development of the country, since PTI assumed government. The PTI government continued the journey of progress.  Dogar claimed that PTI government would not only complete its five year term but form next government also. On this occasion, Adnan Dogar, Shahid Ansari, Sheikh Tanvir, Usman Dogar and many others were also present.


2,602 distribution transformers replaced


Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) has replaced 2,602 distribution transformers at a cost of over Rs 370 million during current fiscal year to provide electricity to consumers with better voltages and to end the complaints of tripping/ low voltages during summer season.


In line with special directions of MEPCO Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Engineer Mahar Allah Yar Bharwana, the steps were being taken to provide uninterrupted power supply to consumers. As many as 421 transformers were replaced in Multan circle at a cost of Rs 24.7 million, 359 in DG Khan circle at a cost of Rs 38.7 million, 241 in Vehari circle with cost of Rs 29.4 million, 453 in Bahawalpur at a cost of Rs 66.4 million, 178 in Sahiwal circle 14.6 million, 66 in Rahim Yar Khan, 211 in Muzaffargarh, 227 in Bahawal Nagar 446 transformers were replaced in Khanewal circle during current fiscal year 2021-22 (July to Feb).


Man allegedly kills brother’s wife over land dispute


A person allegedly opened fire and killed his brother’s wife over land dispute near grid station Vehari road here on Saturday. According to Rescue officials, an outlaw had land dispute with his brother’s wife namely Naseem Bibi w/o Faiz Nabi Qasim resident of Zikriya town on which he opened fire and killer her near at Vehari road.


Upon receiving the information, Rescue 1122 team rushed to the spot and covered the body with sheet. The police concerned was also busy in investigation into the incident.
