MULTAN - Qul Khawani for the departed soul of Muhammad Ilyas Rajwana, nephew of Punjab Governor Malik Rafiq Rajwana, was offered here at Shahi Eidgah on Friday. The final prayer was led by renowned cleric Allama Mazhar Saeed Kazmi and parliamentarians, leaders of different political parties, government officers, traders, lawyers and people from all walks of life participated in it. Ilyas Rajwana had died of heart attack in Lahore on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif condoled the sudden demise of Ilyas Rajwana with his uncle Malik Rafiq Rajwana here at his residence on Friday. The CM made a stopover in Multan en-route to Bahawalpur. He expressed deep sense of grief and offered Fateha for the departed soul. The CM prayed that the Allah Almighty may rest the departed soul in eternal piece and elevate his ranks in Jannah. He also expressed his sympathies with the family of the late.
Punjab minister for education Rana Mashhood accompanied the CM on the occasion.
