BAHAWALPUR - Public Relations Department, Islamia University Bahawalpur and Baloch Educational Council Bahawalpur jointly organised a colorful event as “We Are Baloch, We Are Pakistan” on the occasion of Baloch Culture Day at Ghulam Muhammad Ghotvi Hall Abbasia Campus in which Baloch elders including Baloch and a large number of students attended.
Speakers on the occasion said that Baloch Culture Day is a recognition of unique traditions and beautiful culture. He said that conscious nations always protect their cultural heritage. He further said that Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar had approved the celebration of Baloch Culture Day at the government level in Punjab which was a very commendable initiative. The speakers said that our country was a bunch of different nations and tribes, unique culture, traditions and civilisation was the identity of the people here.
He also thanked the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Athar Mehboob for organising the event, thanks to which special admissions and scholarships were arranged for Baloch students at the university.
No one can deny importance of public relations in modern era: DGPR
The importance of public relations is undeniable in modern Bahawalpur and public relations is the most important department of the Punjab Government.
The mission of Punjab Govt is to build public relations on modern scientific principles as per the requirements of the times. These views were expressed by Director General Public Relations Punjab Saman Rai in a meeting with President Public Relations Society of Pakistan (PRSP) Dr Muhammad Naseem Nadeem. Director News Javed Younis, Director Admin Muhammad Tahir, Deputy Director Malik Maqbool, Deputy Director Advertising Muhammad Nasir, Assistant Director Finance (Advertising) Aftab Ali Zaidi, Budget and Accounts Officer Haseeb Zaidi and Administrative Officer Wasim Shiraz were also present.
Dr. Nadeem congratulated Ms. Saman Rai on her appointment as DGPR and presented a souvenir on behalf of the PRSP. Dr. Muhammad Naseem Nadeem while briefing the DGPR about the aims and objectives of the PRSP said that the present service and retired employees of the PRSP Punjab Public Relations Department were one to twenty non-political and welfare registered representative organizations.
Since its inception, the organization has been working for the betterment and welfare of the department and its employees. DGPR Saman Rai asked the President PRSP Dr. Nadeem to immediately prepare his workable suggestions and action plan for the reorganisation, improvement and welfare of the department and give it to them so that mutual consultative process will ensure that the Punjab Public Relations Department is adapted to modern requirements to ensure immediate access to public information about state public welfare measures and policies. He further said that the doors of my office were always open for the employment of employees and for resolving their personal issues and there would be no delay in the legitimate work of any employee.
