Mashhood’s statement to cover up divide within PML-N: Pervez Elahi

Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervez Elahi has said that the land mafia is continuing its activities in the city since the last ten years, not from today.

He further said that the land mafia was backed by former rulers and the Mansha bomb was also nourished by them. While talking to the media upon his arrival to the Punjab Assembly on Wednesday, Chaudhry said that former leaders did nothing except grabbing land and registering false FIRs against opponents during their tenure.

Replying to a query, Chaudhry said that just because PML-N is fragmenting from within, therefore Rana Mashhood made an abortive attempt to cover up the split inside the party by talking about the establishment.

“As there is no substance in the statement of Rana Mashood therefore we should not pay much attention towards it,” Punjab Assembly speaker said, adding that the truth would soon come to the light.

“I don’t know what problem the opponents have with the Punjab chief minister, as he was doing a great job,” Chaudhry said. He said that our pledge with PTI and CM Punjab will continue. “Today, the Sharif family is mother of all ills and credit for action against Qabza mafia goes to Chief Justice of Pakistan.
