Celebrity Premier League to start from Oct 6

ISLAMABAD - Around a dozen corporates and companies are going to organise a five-day cricket tournament for the residents of twin cities dubbing it ‘Celebrity Premier League.’ The tournament, to be held from October 06-10 in the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, aims to provide entertainment to the residents of twin cities residents with a message to the world that Pakistan is a safe place to play cricket. The tournament will also pay tribute to frontline healthcare workers fighting COVID-19. A kind of replacement of the Pak-New Zealand cricket series, the organisers of the tournament have brought artists, showbiz stars, journalists, and politicians to the cricket ground to end the disappointment of cricket fans. Media Sniffers Communication Officer Jazbia Shirin informed The Nation that six teams comprising showbiz and political personalities will show their cricket to the twin cities public.
