FM likely to brief NA body on foreign policy issues

ISLAMABAD - Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi is expected to take Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly into confidence  on key foreign policy issues including the situation in Afghanistan and talks with Pakistani Taliban, when it meets on October 6-7 in  Islamabad. The committee would have a comprehensive briefing on all foreign policy issues. Sources told The Nation that Qureshi would also share details of his talks with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in New York on the sidelines of the UNGA session and later with British foreign secretary in London. The foreign minister is also expected to face questions on the government-TTP talks from members of the committee.
