Sohail Sisters set to shine: Depart for Commonwealth Powerlifting Championship in South Africa

The Sohail sisters - Sabeel Sohail, Twinkle Sohail, and Veronica Sohail - have departed for South Africa to participate in the Commonwealth Powerlifting Championship.  

This championship presents an invaluable opportunity for these talented athletes to showcase their skills on an international stage. The Sohail sisters will compete in both the classic and equipped categories, aiming to bring honor to Pakistan through their exceptional talent and dedication to the sport. Their participation highlights the growing prominence of women in powerlifting, inspiring future generations of female athletes in the country. 

In a parallel development, Pakistan's heavyweight champion Nooh Dashtgir Butt will also represent the nation in the men's category at the Commonwealth Powerlifting Championship. His participation further solidifies Pakistan's presence in the competitive powerlifting landscape. 

Moreover, the Pakistani men's team, comprising athletes Hasnain Raza, Haider Ali, and Dr. Adnan, will compete in various master's categories. They are set to embark on their journey to South Africa on October 6.
