Team Actor In Law visits FC College

LAHORE-FC College’s Forman Journalism Society organized 2nd series of J-Talks; an event to promote the upcoming Urdu 1 Pictures film ‘Actor In Law’.

The event was conducted by society’s advisor and Mass Communication faculty member Syed Muhammad Saqib Saleem, in the presence of Head of the Department Rachel Hasan. The event was graced by lead actor Fahad Mustafa, Nabeel Qureshi, Fizza Ali and Indian cinema’s legend Om Puri. The event amassed a huge crowd, with hundreds of students queued up hours before the arrival of the guests.

The cast and crew of Actor In Law spoke at length on the revival of Pakistani cinema. The idea behind the event was to invite experts from various fields for sharing their practical knowledge and experience to give students maximum exposure of their area of expertise. The theme for the event was ‘Celebration of the revival of Pakistani film industry’.

Addressing a large number of students, Om Puri hailed Fahad Mustafa as an intelligent actor and spoke highly of Pakistan’s film industry. “Fahad is a very intelligent actor. I’m very impressed by his dedication and his hard work. Should he make up his mind of making an appearance in the Indian film industry, he would give our Khans a run for their money. Moreover, Pakistan has some very talented actors and directors. I watched the film Bol just recently, and trust me, it is an international standard film,” he said.

Om also lauded the efforts of Forman Journalism Society in conducting the event successfully. “It’s a wonderful event and I must appreciate the efforts of the organizers and the management in making this event possible,” he uttered.

Fahad Mustafa spoke about the revival of Pakistani cinema and urged more filmmakers to produce ‘intelligent’ films. “It’s good to have competition. Pakistani cinema has already revived, and it’s about time filmmakers started making films worthy of attracting a large number of people.”

Fahad was amazed by the crowd which turned up in the support of the film. “It’s so heartening to see a large number of people supporting the cause. I received such a warm welcome and I must say Forman Journalism Society has done a very good job with this event. The performers were outstanding,” he appreciated.

Team Actor In Law was greeted by performances from FC College’s very own dancing sensation MARL’BROS, led by Saud Javed Malik, a signing performance from Ahmad Aslam and Nokhaiz Joseph. The performers paid tribute to Om Puri and performed on the songs from his film China Gate.

In the 1st series of J-Talks, the cast and crew of the upcoming film Janaan was invited by Forman Journalism Society. Armeena Rana Khan, Bilal Ashraf, Hareem Farooq,

Hania Aamir and others were present at the event to promote their film, which will also be releasing on Eidul Azha, hoping to provide stiff competition to Actor In Law.
