ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) MNA Attaullah in Tuesday’s National Assembly proceedings came up with an amazing demand from Prime Minister Imran Khan to impose Governor’s Rule in Sindh.
PTI’s MNA from Karachi, surprising his colleagues asked the Prime Minister Imran Khan for the imposition of Governor’s Rule in Sindh as the PPP-P’s government was not able to properly handle its government’s affairs.
“We will not allow attacks on Opposition leader at any cost. Keep in mind, your leaders are also here [in the Parliament],” said PTI’s MNA on point of order. He also raised concerns over the law and order situation in the province.
Meanwhile, Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri, issued a ruling in the House, to not sack employees of PARC till the issuance of Public Accounts Committee’s report on it.
Earlier, members from Opposition raised concerns about the news related to sacking the employees of PARC employees.
“Employees working there for the last 16 years were sacked. This issue need to be addressed,” said PML-N’s Parliamentary leader Khawaja Muhammad Asif on a point of order.
PPP says we should not indulge in corona politics
PTI MNA Munaza Hassan, responding to the concerns raised by Opposition members, said that the report was prepared by a Sub-committee of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC).
To another point of order, PPP-P’s Naveed Qamar said that there should be no politics on corona [COVID-19].
“Situation is fast changing in every province on COVID-19,” he said, adding, that all the provinces and Centre need to show unity on it.
“We have to deal with it without indulging in any division,” said Naveed Qamar, apparently responding to the concerns raised by the members from MQM-P.
HOUSE ADJOURNED DUE TO LACK OF QUORUM
The House was abruptly adjourned due to lack of required quorum in the House deliberately pointed out by a member from South Waziristan Mohsin Dawar.
The lawmakers from the Treasury benches were seen much disturbed soon after the adjournment order read out by the chair.
The House was adjourned to meet again on Friday.
“What’s the point of summoning the National Assembly proceedings with the break of two days. It is the responsibility of the government to maintain the required quorum,” said Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) Saira Bano, talking to the journalists sitting in the media gallery of the Parliament.
The media gallery, after the adjourned order, also observed a scene when two members from ruling party Ali Muhammad Awan and Abdul Shakoor Shad engaged in a verbal brawl with each other.
Abdul Shakoor was interested to speak on any issue when Mohsin Dawar pointed out the lack of required quorum in the House.
POLLEN ALLERGY CREATING TREE
Earlier, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan said that the federal government is removing all allergy creating trees with local varieties to contain Pollen and other allergies in Islamabad.
He was responding to a calling attention notice in the National Assembly and said various tree plantation drives have been completed in the capital.
He said over 300,000 trees have been planted since Pakistan Tehreek Insaf came into power and now a target of planting 3,50,000 plants in the current monsoon season.
To another call-attention notice, Minister for Food Security and Research Syed Fakhar Imam said that the government is making efforts to make Pakistan a modern agriculture country in the region.
He said that various initiatives are being taken to bolster the agriculture sector and to put the country on the path of development and prosperity.
The Minister said that the country has four bumper crops this year.
He, however, said that Punjab and Sindh could not achieve their set target of cotton crop.
