ISLAMABAD - Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani will leave for Iran today (Wednesday) on a two-day visit to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the President-elect of Iran Ebrahim Raisi.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has nominated Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani to represent Pakistan at the ceremony, said an official of the Senate Secretariat.
Chairman Senate will reach Mashhad by a special plane. During the visit high-level meetings with top political Iranian leaders are expected.
Sanjrani will return to Pakistan on August 5.
