LAHORE-The Platinum Jubilee Independence-Day Inter-Club Basketball Tournament will commence from August 14 at International Abdul Nasir Basketball Court, Aram Bagh. The event will be conducted in connection with the 75-year celebrations of Pakistan and is being organized by Usman Basketball Club District Central, in collaboration with Karachi Basketball Association. Karachi Basketball Association President Ghulam Mohammad Khan has instructed the clubs, who want to participate in the tournament, to confirm their participation with Zafar Iqbal by August 12. At the end of the tournament, the people, who have played a role in the development and promotion of basketball, will be awarded with the Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Sports Award on behalf of Usman Club.
