Madonna’s custody case delayed

Madonna will have to wait another month for her courtroom showdown with ex-husband guy Ritchie as their child custody case has been delayed.
The pop superstar and her former partner have been at odds over care of their 15-year-old son Rocco, and they were due to appear in court in New York City on Wednesday to thrash out details of the case.
However, the former couple will now have to wait until 2 March to face each other in court as the hearing has been postponed, according to TMZ.com. No reason has been given for the delay, but reports suggest the postponement gives the two parents more time to reach a deal.
The case has been ongoing since December when Rocco left the singer’s Rebel Heart tour to join his father in the U.K., sparking a dispute over custody. A judge ordered Rocco to return to New York City to be with his mother before the holidays, but it appeared the teenager refused and opted to stay in Britain with his dad instead. Madonna reportedly expressed her anger over the situation by taking aim at an unnamed ex-husband during a show in Nashville, Tennessee last month.
Footage filmed during her set at the city’s Bridgestone Arena shows the pop icon responding to a fan’s marriage proposal with an expletive-filled rant, saying, ‘I’m looking for a husband, not cute. I already married.
Madonna and Guy divorced in 2008 after eight years of marriage, and the singer was previously wed to actor Sean Penn, but that union also ended in divorce, in 1989.
The Like a Virgin hitmaker also has an adopted son with Ritchie, David, as well as daughter Lourdes, from her relationship with Carlos Leon, and another adopted daughter, Mercy. Guy also has three young children with his model wife Jacqui Ainsley, who he wed last July.
