SIALKOT-Daska Tehsil Headquarters Civil Hospital lacks a trauma centre therefore the victims of road accidents are refused treatment and referred to other hospitals.
Injured persons, victims of fatal road accidents usually occur on main Sialkot-Daska-Gujranwala Road and main Daska-Pasrur Road are referred to Gujranwala or Lahore hospitals from Daska Civil Hospital. Most of victims succumb to their injuries on their way to the Gujranwala or Lahore hospitals before the treatment. The hospital management said that a case had already been sent to the Punjab govt for establishing a well-equipped trauma centre at Daska Civil Hospital.
The early establishment of trauma centre at Daska Civil Hospital had been a strong demand of the people.
Social, religious, health and political circles have expressed grave concern over the nasty situation. They said that the situation was leaving a big question mark on Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif's good governance policy. They also urged the chief minister to ensure early establishment of a burn unit at Sialkot.
