KHAIRPUR -  A youth was shot dead in an incident of honour killing near Faiz Gunj on Saturday night.

According to Faiz Gunj police, some armed men fired shots at Noor Muhammad Baladi in Nihal Baladi village, killing him at the scene.

Police took the body into custody and shifted it to Faiz Gunj Hospital for completion of legal formalities.

Police had not registered the murder case when this report was filed on Saturday evening.

Two brothers drown

Two brothers drowned in a pond in Rohri on Saturday.

According to details, Nadeem Chandio (8) and Naeem Chandio (6) had gone missing a day ago from old Naka area in Rohri. Their father had informed Rohri police about the incident. People found their bodies in a pond in Rohri near DSP’s office. Police recovered bodies from the pond and shifted to Taluka Hospital.
