After achieving financial stability, it's time to transform Islamabad into model city: PM

Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has stated on Friday that the country is progressing in terms of economic turnaround. Moreover the government's construction policy has proved to be successful and results of the progress can be seen in various sectors. 

The Prime Minister, in a series of tweets stated that in 2017, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) was nearing bankruptcy, posting a deficit of Rs 5.8 billion will close this financial year with Rs 73 billion surplus and Rs 26 billion already in accounts. 

The PM then appreciated the CDA team by saying that now that the financial stability has been achieved, its about time that the country transforms Islamabad into a model city with respect to bringing reform and focus on restructuring. 

PM Imran Khan added that it is possible to make other cities self-sustaining economic engines of growth by implementing innovation, commitment and transparency.
