Illegal workshops pose health hazards

RAWALPINDI  – Mushrooming illegal workshops in the area of Gawalmandi have posed health hazards to the residents.
These workshops are operating with the connivance of corrupt elements of cantonment board making mockery of law of the land. “We all are now victims of fatal respiratory diseases due to emission of curls upon curls smoke by the vehicles which come to these workshops for repair work,” said Ali Ahmad a shopkeeper.
“We can not concentrate on our studies due to clattering and rattling of jumbo vehicles and flooding smoke that continue to hover over our homes like clouds. The examinations are ahead but we cannot focus on our preparations for examination in the prevailing situation, said Nadim Ahmad and some students.
The residents demanded shifting of these workshops from the residential area to allay their woes.
