Bahawalpur - Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Captain Muhammad Zafar Iqbal has said that problems of Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be solved on priority basis and all resources will be utilised for speedy construction of Industrial Estate Bahawalpur.
He expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation of industrialists led by President Chamber of Commerce and Industries Tanveer Mahmood.
The delegation included Senior Vice President Ghulam Farid, Vice President Muhammad Muneeb Malik, Chaudhry Abdul Jabbar, Mubashir Hussain Chaudhry and Javed Iqbal. Chaudhry, Muhammad Ishtiaq Basra and Malik Ijaz Nazim.
Commissioner Bahawalpur Captain Muhammad Zafar Iqbal said that provision of facilities to investors would be ensured and construction of industrial estate would be expedited. He said that steps should be finalized to connect Bahawalpur with motorway. The delegation of the Chamber of Commerce told commissioner about problems faced by them and Commissioner Bahawalpur issued instructions to the departments for resolving the issues.
Cheques distributed among 32 deserving people
Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Captain Muhammad Zafar Iqbal along with Member Punjab Baitul Mal Council Suleiman Arshad distributed cheques worth Rs. 465,000 among 32 deserving people.
Punjab Baitul Mal Council Lahore gave cheques of Rs 15,000 each to 29 deserving persons and Rs. 10,000 each to 3 deserving persons.
Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Captain Muhammad Zafar Iqbal said that philanthropists and wealthy people should support the economically weaker sections of the society and contribute more and more to the welfare of the deserving.
