Asad Zaman reaches Nayza All Pakistan Jr Tennis semis

LAHORE - Talented Asad Zaman (McDonald’s) reached the U-16 and U-14 semifinals of the Nayza All Pakistan National Tennis Championship 2021 after winning his respective quarterfinals played here at the Punjab Tennis Academy, Bagh-e-Jinnah on Wednesday. 
In the boys U-16 quarterfinals, Asad Zaman was up against Kashan Tariq and he utilized his skills and techniques well to overcome his opponents with a score of 6-3, 6-2. In other quarterfinals, Ahtesham Humayun overpowered Shahzaib Zahid 6-1, 6-1, Mahatir Muhammad thrashed Abdur Rehman Pirzada 6-0, 6-1 and Shaeel Durab thumped Muneeb Majeed 6-2, 6-0. Asad Zaman also excelled in the boys U-14 category, where he outclassed young Ismail Aftab with a margin of 4-1, 4-1 in the quarterfinals. In other matches of this category, Omer Jawad trounced Abdur Rehman Pirzada 4-1, 4-1, Amir Mazari toppled 4-2, 4-1 and Ahtesham Humayun thrashed M Talha Khan 4-0, 4-0. 
In the U-18 doubles quarterfinals, Abdullah Adnan/Ali Talha thumped M Talha Khan/Mustansir Ali Khan 6-1, 6-1 and M Ahtesham/Faizan Fayyaz outlasted Muneeb Majeed/Arman Kamran 6-0, 6-1. In the girls U-14 quarterfinals, Soha Ali crushed Fatima Riyaz 4-0, 4-0, Zoha Arshad thrashed Malaika Shehzad 4-0, 4-0 and Javeria Sagheer outsmarted Zainab 4-1, 4-1.
