Five Peshawar University students injured in baton charge

Five students were injured after the police applied baton charge on a group of students, who were protesting against a fee hike by the Peshawar University on Thursday.

According to details, the students were demonstrating against the fee hike for M Phil and PhD level studies, demanding to withdraw the decision.

The police tried to control the situation through baton charge. As a result, five students sustained injuries.
The injured students were shifted to the Khyber Teaching Hospital while at least 28 students were arrested.

However, the university administration said that fee was increased after two years and it should not bother the students.
