The British government has rejected an application made by former prime minister Nawaz Sharif seeking an extension in his visa.
The news was also confirmed by Hussain Nawaz, son of Nawaz Sharif.
It is pertinent to be noted that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif's six-month UK visa had expired on which he had requested an extension of his visa for further stay in the UK in connection with his treatment, but the British authorities rejected the application.
Earlier, the incumbent government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has sought repatriation of the former three-time prime minister from the United Kingdom as he is convicted in Avenfield and Al-Azizia corruption cases.
