Two policemen, PTI worker among four killed in Karachi violence

At least four people including two policemen and a candidate for local government (LG) elections were killed in recent spate of violence in Karachi on Sunday.
Unidentified gunmen attacked Awami National Party’s contestant for LG polls Razaq Buneri’s shop with grenade. Two policemen were injured after the gunmen resorted to firing. The cops were taken to nearby hospital where they succumbed to injuries.
In another incident, Qari Jaffar, candidate for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf in LG polls was gunned down in Rashidabad area of Baldia Town. The police shifted the body to hospital for autopsy.
According to details, Qari Jaffar had submitted his nomation papers and was busy in campaigns for the upcoming LG polls. At least five LG poll candidates have been shot dead in Karachi so far.
Meanwhile, another person was killed in a firing incident in Shireen Jinnah Colony.
