Nation to start Pak-Iran border trade as Gwadar port's site develops: Asim

Chairman China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority Lt. Gen (Retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa said that CPEC has put Balochistan on the path of lucrative progress and prosperity.

While addressing the inauguration ceremony of several development projects in Gwadar, he said that premier Imran Khan is keenly interested in the prompt development of CPEC.

In a short video message, Lt. Gen (Retd) Bajwa conveyed that as soon as the site of Gwadar port gets developed, the nation will start off its trade through the Iran border.  

He added that currently, the Ramadan-Gabd crossing point near Gwadar is fully functional.

 The fencing work of the Pak-Iran border is underway that will soon open opportunities for global markets for mutual countries across borders.

Lt. Gen (Retd) Bajwa went on to say that the incidences of smuggling and robbing have ceased to end as the transit in trade regulation is under strict control.
