No coronavirus deaths reported in Islamabad for 3rd straight day

ISLAMABAD - Islamabad has not reported any Covid-related death for the last three days.
Islamabad reported 71 new Coronavirus cases in a single day on Saturday, taking its tally to 82,916. However, the capital has not recorded any Coronavirus-related fatality for the last three days. Its death toll stands at 779. Meanwhile, Pakistan reported over 1,000 again for the second consecutive day on Sunday. Pakistan’s tally for confirmed cases reached 962,313 on Sunday morning after the country recorded 1,228 more cases of Coronavirus in 24 hours. The positivity rate remained 2.56 per cent. A day before, Pakistan had recorded over 1,400 cases. The death toll reached 22,408 as 29 more deaths were reported from across Pakistan in a day. As many as 897 people recovered from the virus in a single day, taking the tally for recoveries to 907,284. As of Sunday morning, 1,875 Coronavirus patients were in critical condition, according to the portal.
In the last 24 hours, 146 new Coronavirus cases were detected in Punjab while five more fatalities were confirmed. Punjab’s Covid-19 caseload has risen to 346,728 while the death toll has increased to 10,772. Balochistan reported 92 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours and two more fatalities. The province’s tally of infections has risen to 27,387 while the number of fatalities stands at 312. In the same period, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa recorded 115 new cases and seven deaths, taking the provincial caseload to 138,421 and the death toll to 3,446. Meanwhile, Gilgit-Baltistan has reported 63 new cases while Azad Jammu and Kashmir has confirmed 63, taking their tallies to 6,394 and 20,505, respectively. No new fatalities have been recorded in either territory, according to the NCOC.
