Pakistan Army win National Women Handball title

LAHORE - Star-studded Pakistan Army won the 15th edition of National Women Handball Championship after defeating favorite Wapda by 27-24 at Kunj Stadium Abbottabad. Army skipper Ayesha Dilshad shown her best skills with 17 goals to securing Army for championship title while Nusrat Bano from Wanda scored six goals.  During interval, Wapda were leading the score with 13-12 but after that, Army players including Ayesha Dilshad, Asma Altaf and Zobia Shehnaz played attacking game against defending champions to put them under pressure with closing the final encounter 27-24. HEC got the third place after beating Punjab 9-3. President PHF M Shafiq was the chief guest at the closing ceremony and distributed shields and medals among the participating teams.
