Three people die of electrocution in Kasur

KASUR   -  A woman and her daughter were electrocuted to death, in the limits of Kot Radha Kishan police station. Police said on Sunday that Khawar Bibi and her daughter Ayesha BIbi were cleaning floor of their house in Chak-54 when they received severe electric shock after a fault in the wiring turned the water a magnetic field. Both mother and daughter died on the spot. Police were investigating.

Meanwhile, a youth died of electrocution, in the limits of Johrabad police station on Sunday. According to police, Muhammad Yaqoob (26), resident of Badhshahwala was busy in electric work when he suffered a severe electric shock. He was shifted to a nearby hospital where he breathed his last.

Police handed over the body to his family after completing necessary formalities. ‘Agriculture sector playing role in national economy’

The government is focusing special attention towards agriculture sector as it is playing a significant role in national economic development.  

Talking to media here on Sunday, Deputy Director Agriculture (Extension) Kasur Ahmad Naveed said that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s commitment to focus on agricultural sector and make small farmers prosperous would ensure the food security in the country.

He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan was fully aware of the growing demand for food in the country, adding that under the PM’s Agricultural Emergency Programme, a subsidy of Rs300 billion was being provided to farmers on seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, agriculture implements and so on.
