Economic position of the country has improved : Prime Minister

Islamabad- Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said that the economic position of Pakistan had improved recently. We have taken concrete measures to bring back the economy on strong footings, PM added.

PM said this while talking to a group of Parliamentarians from Gujranwala Division who called him today.

Engineer Khurram Dastagir Khan from Minister for Commerce, Khawaja Muhammad Asif Minister for Defence, Mr. Ahsan Iqbal from Minister for Planning, Mr. Zahid Hamid from Minister for Science and Technology, MOS for Housing and Works Mr. Usman Ibrahim , MOS for National Health Services Mrs Saira Afzal Tarar, MOS for Parliamentary AffairsShiekh Aftab, MNA Captain Safdar and MNA Hamza Shahbaz and other Senators and Ministers of National Assembly were attending the meeting.

While addressing the Parliamentarians, PM said that the Government was able to provide relief to masses in the power sector through pragmatic approach and rationale policies.

PM said that the foreign investment in Pakistan was rising due to the confidence posed by the International donors in the economy of Pakistan. Chinese investment in the power and infrastructure sectors will further boost our economy, PM stated.

PM also mentioned about the Youth Business loan Scheme and expressed his views regarding its successful launch.

On the issue of terrorism, he said that the Government choose the path of dialogue in accordance with the decision taken in APC.

The Parliamentarians showed confidence in the leadership of Nawaz Sharif. They also discussed political matters and development projects relating to their constituencies.
