CJP discharged from RIC after angioplasty

Doctors on Monday discharged Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Saqib Nisar as his health improved.

As per details garnered, doctors carried out a thorough medical examination before discharging the top judge.

Earlier yesterday, CJP Justice Saqib Nisar was rushed to RIC where an angioplasty was performed by doctors to open a blocked artery to restore the normal flow of the blood.

"I will resume my duties from Tuesday," CJP made these comments outside Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology as doctors discharged him.

CJP was shifted to VIP ward. Rangers took over the security of the hospital to avoid any untoward situation.

Following the doctors’ advice, the Supreme Court delisted important cases that were being heard by bench no 1.

Bench no 1 was scheduled to hear important cases, including the money laundering case, Zulfi Bukhari’s disqualification case and a case pertaining to the degrees of pilots and cabin crew, today.
