New RPO, CPO Rawalpindi announced

Rawalpindi-In a major reshuffle in Rawalpindi police, the two top cops were transferred from their positions on Thursday by Chief Secretary Punjab Kamran Ali Afzal.
According to the notification issued by the provincial authorities, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Rawalpindi Region Imran Ahmer (PSP/BPS-20) has been transferred and posted as RPO Gujranwala Region. Ashfaq Ahmed Khan (PSP/BS-20), who was serving as RPO Sargodha, replaced Imran Ahmer as new RPO Rawalpindi Region. Similarly, the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Muhammad Ahsan Younas (PSP/BPS-20), City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi, has been given the charge of DIG Operations Lahore. The government posted Athar Ismail Amjad (PSP/BS-20) as new CPO Rawalpindi. Earlier, he was serving as AIG Logistics, Central Police Office, Punjab, Lahore. All the newly appointed police officers have assumed their charge following orders of the provincial government. Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan has also issued transfer and posting orders of dozens of newly  promoted inspectors to different regions of the province. According to a notification issued here, SHO PS Civil Lines inspector Ahsan Tanvir Kiani has been transfered to Punjab Constabulary Farooqabad. Similarly, Inspector Sajjad Ul Hassan, PRO to CPO, was sent to Faisalabad Region by the IGP.
