RAC arranges novel launching ceremony

rawalpindi - The Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) arranged the launching ceremony of a novel ‘Log Kia Kahen Gey,’ written by young novelist Kamran Ahmed, here yesterday. Famous fiction writer and critic Hameed Shahid presided over the ceremony and Additional Commissioner Coordination Rawalpindi Tariq Mehmood Tariq was chief guest while Prof Dr Ravish Nadeem was guest of honour. Addressing the ceremony, Tariq Mehmood Tariq said that it is an appreciable step to highlight social issues through writings.
He said a writer gives a reflection of society and ‘Log Kia Kahen Gey’ is a bitter reality of Pakistani society. OUR STAFF REPORTER
Hameed Shahid said that Kamran Ahmed has seen the society through different angles which made him different from other young writers. He said Kamran’s first step in the field of novel proved fruitful.
Prof Dr Ravish Nadeem said that Kamran Ahmed representing a segment of society gave a name to his novel ‘Log Kia Kahen Gey’ which is a complete picture of the society.
Resident Director Waqar Ahmed in his welcome address said that Kamran Ahmed highlighted social issues with different perspective.
Senior poet Naseem-e-Saher also threw light on the novel.
