LAHORE - The NNG Table Tennis Tournament 2021 concluded at the North Nazimabad Gymkhana, where Azhar Khursheed, Umar Qazi emerged winners in senior and junior categories.
According to Commissioner Karachi Sports Coordinator Ghulam Muhammad Khan, Azhar Khursheed played well and emerged as triumphant in the senior category while Rafia Ahmed was runner-up. In the junior category, Umar Qazi emerged as winner while Ali Qazi finished as runner-up. Former Provincial Minister for Sports Dr Syed Junaid Ali Shah, Chairman Sindh Olympic Association, graced the occasion as chief guest. He announced that he and his family would extend all possible cooperation for the promotion of table tennis, including all sports, to keep the youth away from negative activities.
He said this while addressing the closing ceremony of the event, which was presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner Central Imran Rajput. In the end, chief guest Dr Junaid Ali Shah distributed trophies and individual cash prizes among the winners and runners-up.
On the occasion, Commissioner Karachi Sports Coordinator Ghulam Muhammad Khan, President of North Nazimabad Gymkhana Feroz Alam Lari, Begum Asma Muhammad Ali Shah, Nazushkoor, Seema, Akhtar Ali, Mahfooz-ul-Haq, Saleem Ahmed, Nazhat Javed, Saima Khan, Mahia Moin, Seema Khan, Tanveer Ahmed, Naseem Rajput and other sports personalities were also present.
